Danielle Evennou is the author of the chapbook Difficult Trick (Dancing Girl Press, 2017). Evennou grew up in suburban New Jersey; for over a decade, she has hosted poetry readings, workshops, and open mics in Washington, DC. Her poetry and memoirs have appeared in Beltway Poetry Quarterly, apt, Gargoyle, Blue Collar Review, Split Lip Magazine, and the anthology Flicker and Spark. For ten years, Evennou co-hosted Sparkle: A Queer-Driven Open Mic Series, with Regie Cabico, at Busboys & Poets. Winner of the Larry Neal Award, Evennou has performed her work in tattoo parlors, on the Gowanus Canal, at distinguished universities, and even in laundromats.
