Welcome to the DC Poetry Wiki (“Wiki”) created and made available by the George Washington University (“GW” or “University”). The Wiki is an online resource to help document and preserve the remarkable literary history of Washington poetry from 1900 through the present. The Wiki will includes articles about the poets, movements, publications, readings, sponsoring institutions, recordings and broadcasts provide a picture of the diverse and unique life of poetry that evolved over more than a century in Washington DC.
GW Proprietary Rights in Wiki Content
All content on the Wiki provided by GW, including designs, text, graphics, pictures, video, information, music, and their selection and arrangement ("GW Content"), is the property of the University or its licensors with all rights reserved. You may occasionally copy GW Content from the Wiki solely for your personal, non-commercial use, provided that you keep all copyright or other proprietary notices intact.
GW controls the use of the names and registered marks of the George Washington University and all associated trademarks and service marks. Unless otherwise authorized by law, you may not use these marks without the prior written consent of the University.
Your Contributions to the Wiki
Please be aware that you are legally responsible for your contributions, edits, and re-use of any information or content on the Wiki. If you choose to contribute materials and content to the Wiki (“Contributions”), you agree to license your Contributions under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License (“License”), available at http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/3.0/. Choice of Law/Forum Selection
GW is located in Washington, DC. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to this Terms or any content posted to a Wiki, including copies and republication thereof, whether based in contract, tort, statutory or other law, will be governed by the laws of the District of Columbia, excluding its conflicts of law provisions. You further consent to the personal jurisdiction of and exclusive venue in the federal and state courts located in and serving the District of Columbia as the legal forum for any such dispute.
Disclaimer of Warranty/Limitation of Liability
The Wiki and any information or content therein is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including without limitation, the implied warranties of merchant ability, fitness for use of a particular purpose, or noninfringement. GW does not warrant, and hereby disclaims any warranties, either express or implied, with respect to the accuracy, adequacy or completeness of the Wiki, or information or content obtained from the Wiki. GW does not warrant that the Wiki will operate in an uninterrupted or error-free manner or that the Wiki is free of viruses or other harmful components. Use of information obtained from or through the Wiki is at your own risk.
