Tony Medina, two-time winner of The Paterson Prize for Books for Young People, is the author or editor of sixteen books for adults and young readers, including I and I, Bob Marley (Lee & Low, 2009), My Old Man Was Always On the Lam (NYQ Books, 2011 Paterson Poetry Prize Finalist), Broke on Ice (Willow Books, 2011), An Onion of Wars (Third World Press, 2012), and The President Looks Like Me and Other Poems (Just Us Books, 2013). Medina is the first Professor of Creative Writing at Howard University.
