Reuben Jackson was born in Augusta, Georgia. He lived in Washington, DC from 1958 until 2011. He is the author of a book of poems, "Fingering the Keys" (Gut Punch Press, 1991). His poems have also appeared in Gargoyle, Washingtonian, Indiana Review, The Christian Science Monitor, and in 40 anthologies. Jackson also wrote music (mostly jazz) reviews for Washington City Paper, Unicorn Times, The Washington Post, Jazz Times and Jazziz Magazines. He currently lives in Winooski, Vermont.
