Katharine Merow

Katharine Merow[1] majored in mathematics and linguistics at Swarthmore College and moved to DC in 2008 to pursue a master's degree in nonfiction writing at Johns Hopkins. Now the staff writer for the Mathematical Association of America (MAA), Katharine writes mostly prose, and mostly about math-related topics. Her published poetry includes "Geometric Proliferation,"[2] which appeared in the November 2007 issue of the MAA's Math Horizons, and "Modern Mortuary Science," due out in the April/May 2014 issue of Free Inquiry.
