David Keplinger is the author of four books of poetry, most recently The Most Natural Thing (New Issues, 2013). He has been anthologized in collections throughout the world, including Northern Ireland, China, Italy, Denmark and Germany. His collections of translations from the Danish and German have appeared from New Issues, BOA Editions Ltd., and Milkweed, and in The Paris Review, Two Lines, Circumference, Poetry London, and many other journals. His own work has appeared in Poetry, Ploughshares, The Iowa Review, Virginia Quarterly Review, Crazyhorse, Writers Almanac, Academy of American Poets' Poem-a-day, American Poetry Review, and elsewhere, and he is the recipient of the T.S. Eliot Prize, the Colorado Book Award, a fellowship from the NEA, and the Cavafy Prize. He teaches at American University.
