Abdul Ali

Abdul Ali was born in New York City and now lives in Washington, D.C. He studied English and Theatre at Howard University, where he brought its literary journal, The Amistad, back to life. His work has appeared in the Washington Post and Black Issues Book Review and he is a DCCAH 2010 Literary Artist Fellow as well as the newly appointed Programs Associate for Split This Rock Poetry Festival. He also co-hosts WPFW’s radio program the Poet’s Corner and is an adjunct lecturer at Goucher College.
